Implementation of IWM Operations in Four Million Ha
Director General of Watershed Management and Soil Conservation Bureau of FRWO noted that in the past three years, some budget have been allocated from the National Development Fund (NDF) for the implementation of integrated watershed management (IWM) projects, and said: "During this period, IWM operations have been implemented in four million hectares of the country's watersheds."

According to FRWO's website, Houshang Jazi, Director General of Watershed Management and Soil Conservation Bureau of FRWO, on the sidelines of the workshop on integrated watershed management (IWM) of Karun-e-Bozorg basin in Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province, reiterated: "Currently, detailed studies and implementation of IWM projects have been carried out in 33 million hectares of the country's lands".
He said that in the last three years, based on resources allocated from the National Development Fund to IWM projects in 900 watersheds, FRWO is formulating plans for the development of natural resource projects and implementation of the projects is still underway in some of these watersheds.
