FRWO Intensifies Conservation Measures through New Methods

According to FRWO's website, Dr. Massoud Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO in The thirteenth session of the performance of the executive plan of 2021 chaired by Massoud Mansour, Head of FRWO held on Sunday at FRWO Headquarters with the agenda of performance review of Natural Resources and Watershed Management Department (NRWD) said: "Today, natural resources management face many problems and challenges to advance their goals".
He noted: "FRWO's targets need to be met; therefore, FRWO needs to utilize innovation initiatives and new technologies such as areal monitoring of forests online system equipped with light aircraft, systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), wireless technology, Anti-Smuggling alarm systems for trees in forest, real time Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and monitoring system and installing CCTV cameras. The new methods seem to be necessary in natural resources management".
In this session, Dr. Massoud Mansour, called the common border of Ardabil and Gilan provinces important in the field of smuggling of wood and other forest and rangeland products, and called on the Director Generals of Natural Resources and Watershed Management Departments (NRWDs) of the two provinces to cooperate with each other to increase their supervision in the key bottlenecks of the two provinces effectively.
Head of FRWO referred to the mines exploitation and reiterated: "FRWO should figure out mining activities in a way that leaves the least damage."
