Minister of Agriculture Jahad, Dr. Seyyed-Javad Sadati-Nejad, in an interview with Negah1 (View1) program of IRIB- Channel 1(an Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting television channel, broadcast in Worldwide) stating that the floods damages shows that the Government should invest more in Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) projects and the watershed management sector, noted: " The administration's draft of the national budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year 1401, in addition to the allocated budget for watershed management sector as usual; this is the first time, that special budget line is dedicated to the Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO)".

According to FRWO's website, Dr. Seyyed-Javad Sadati-Nejad, Minister of Agriculture Jahad in this interview noting: "Economic exploitation can be used in the rangelands", reiterated: " Collection of annual revenue from rangelands was transferred to the Department of the Treasury in the Government in the past up to now. However, by creating FRWO's special budget line, the revenue generated by FRWO will be returned to own to be spent on its missions."

Based on the remarks by Minister of Agriculture Jahad, the return of revenue to FRWO makes motivation, because FRWO can spend the revenue on its missions, and in spite of special budget line dedicated to FRWO in the administration's draft of the national budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year 1401 certainly, seems that can increase FRWO's revenue.

In this interview, he reiterated: "In the field of natural resources and watershed management sector, there is a lot of work to do and all ministries and people in the field of natural resources management have a duty to contribute to the development of natural resources management by planting even a sapling and maintaining a plant; however, these plants and shrubs play an important role in preserving water and soil resources".

In another part of his remarks, Dr. Seyyed Javad Sadati Nejad said: "In recent years, support for the IWM has been provided by National Development Fund (NDF) by the order of the Supreme Leader, which is commendable; IWM has been forgotten in the country for many years, and in recent years, $ 200 million has been allocated annually from NDF in order to implementing IWM projects by order of the Supreme Leader, and good measures has been carried out in this area".
